Our tip
Our tip Bata's work and its expansion around the world is mapped by the Bata's World project, which is managed by the university.
The university has been based in Zlín since 1961, when the Brno University of Technology opened its detached workplace here. Since 2001, Tomas Bata University has been an independent university named after the founder of the town, the factory and the entire management system. The university is unique also thanks to the Rectorate building designed by Eva Jiřičná, who also designed the neighbouring Congress Centre building. The university is further located in the former Bata study buildings and dormitories on T.G.M. Square, in the new Center of Polymer Systems near the health centre or in Jižní svahy.
