Bata Information Centre
If you want to learn more about Bata, you can contact the Bata Information Centre, which is part of the University Library of Tomas Bata University in Zlín. It is located on the 4th floor of the Library building and is open not only to university students but also to the public. It is open on weekdays from 9AM to 2PM. However, it is recommended to make an appointment in advance with the staff of the Centre or the University Library.
The Centre provides specialised services – it offers consultations on specific Bata topics and can also advise on where to find books and other documents. A comprehensive collection of thematic books is available directly at the Centre. There is also a collection of foreign Bata newspapers. The Centre does not lend books and documents outside the library, they can only be studied on site.
The Centre was established on the initiative of the University management in December 2008. It presents the personality of Tomas Bata and all aspects of his activities in Zlín, Czechoslovakia and the world from 1894 to the present day.
Opening hours
