Infopoint of Tomas Bata Memorial

The Infopoint of Tomas Bata Memorial is located in the Grammar and Language School, just 150 steps from one of the most significant buildings in Zlín. Here you can buy tickets to the Memorial which is possible to enter only with a guide.

The architecturally valuable school building was also designed by F. L. Gahura. You can wait for the start of the tour, buy a souvenir or take a look at one of the books dealing with the Bata theme. There are also free printed materials, brochures and maps available for visitors. The memorial's Infopoint occasionally hosts accompanying programs.

Our tip

We recommend the book "Testament – Manifest" to all fans of modern architecture. The book presents the story of Tomas Bata Memorial through the texts of seventeen authors and is accompanied by historical and contemporary photographs.

Tomas Bata Memorial can be visited all year round. In the main season from April to September, it is accessible by guided tours starting at all hours, every day except Mondays from 10AM to 5PM (inclusive). In the low season from October to March, it is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10AM to 4PM (inclusive).

Baťapas is launching. The tourist card is designed to attract people to museums and to explore the architecture

Starting this season, tourists heading to Zlín have a new way to save money while exploring sites related to the Baťa legacy. The Baťa Region has launched a project called Baťapas. It is the first-ever official tourist card for Zlín and its surroundings, offering admission and discounts to the most famous sites primarily associated with Baťa’s history. It will not be available for general sale; guests staying at participating accommodations can obtain it.
