Zlín Film Festival

Zlín Film Festival has a rich history that dates back to 1961, when it was held for the first time. Since then, it has evolved into one of the most important festivals focusing on film for children and youth. Its aim is to support high quality production for young audiences while promoting film culture as a means of education and entertainment. The festival is held annually in late May / early June.

The Zlín Film Festival presents more than 300 films from 50 countries, ranging from internationally acclaimed films to debuts of young filmmakers. Films you won't see anywhere else.

To appeal to the widest possible audience, the programme includes not only feature films, but also animations, documentaries and short films. The festival does not limit itself to traditional cinema screenings, but organises also discussions, workshops, concerts, and parties that give audiences the opportunity to meet filmmakers and better understand the filmmaking process.
