Graffiti with Zlín personalities
Street art by Michal Filák depicts famous Zlín personalities who shaped the modern image of Zlín.
You will find Tomas and Jan Antonin Bata, the face of filmmaker Karel Zeman, athlete Emil Zátopek, scientist Otto Wichterle, travellers Miroslav Zikmund and Jiří Hanzelka, architect František Lýdia Gahura and others. The only woman portrayed is the movie director and animator Hermína Týrlová.
The work was commissioned by the city of Zlín in 2023. Behind each of the personalities you can see their typical environment in which they worked or created.
